40Mn18Cr4是锰铬系无磁性奥氏体护环钢，固溶处理后，进行半热变形强化或冷变形强化来提高钢的强度，以满足不同护环类别的强度要求。用于护环类别Ⅰ～Ⅲ类的汽轮发电机无磁性护环锻件及其他要求无磁性的零部件。
40Mn18Cr4在用于汽轮发电机用阻尼槽楔、压指、齿压片等锻件生产中；常规锻造工艺锻件很难达到技术要求,主要是屈服强度达不到,须采用特殊锻造及全新的热处理工艺.
40Mn18Cr4 is a manganese-chromium austenitic non-magnetic retaining ring steel. After solid solution treatment, it undergoes semi-hot deformation strengthening or cold deformation strengthening to enhance the strength of the steel, meeting the strength requirements for different categories of retaining rings. It is used for non-magnetic retaining ring forgings for steam turbine generators and other components that require non-magnetism, specifically for categories I to III. It is also used in the production of forgings such as damping slots, clamps, and tooth clamping sheets for steam turbine generators. Conventional forging processes often fail to meet technical requirements, mainly due to insufficient yield strength, necessitating the use of special forging and new heat treatment processes.
40Mn18Cr4冶炼工艺：电炉—LF精炼—真空脱气—浇注钢锭的冶炼工艺。
40Mn18Cr4锰铬系无磁性奥氏体护环钢根据技术要求及用途小批量冶炼，轧制，锻造40Mn18Cr4无磁扁钢 40Mn18Cr4无磁圆钢 40Mn18Cr4无磁锻件 40Mn18Cr4无磁护环等满足不同需求。
40Mn18Cr4化学成份：
碳 C ：0．30～0．55；
硅 Si：0．30～0．80；
锰 Mn：17．00～19．00；
硫 S ：≤0．05；
磷 P ：≤0．08；
铬 Cr：3．00～5．00。
40Mn18Cr4机械性能：
抗拉强度(MPa): ≥530；
屈服强度(MPa): ≥350；
延伸率(δ5%): 30；冷弯:(180°d=2a) 合格；
磁导率:≤1.05。
40Mn18Cr4只是奥氏体无磁钢的一种,按照材质可分 20mn23alv、45mn17al3（917）、30mn20al3、 40Mn18Cr4、40mn18cr4v、50mn18cr4v等各种无磁钢，广泛应用于大中型变压器、电磁铁、等无磁结构材料。无磁钢属7fe—mn—al—c系列奥氏体，化学成份决定电磁性能，组织稳定，力学性能优良，磁导率低而电阻率高，在磁8场中的涡流损耗极小。
